HAVEN turf-type perennial ryegrass is a newly released variety focused on providing improved disease resistant turfgrass, specifically in the areas of grey leaf spot, brown patch, and red thread. HAVEN is ideal for use on fairways, athletic fields, home lawns, high traffic areas, and other locations where additional disease resistant perennial ryegrass is needed. HAVEN has an attractive dark green color that balances well with today’s bluegrasses and tall fescues, making it an ideal candidate for blending as well pure stands. Gray Leaf Spot Resistance
In 2007, Gray Leaf Spot disease was measured at three locations in New Jersey and North Carolina. HAVEN performed very well, exhibiting very good resistance to the disease.

Planting Instructions
For ideal turf, plant HAVEN on fertile, neutral pH soils during the cooler seasons of the year, such as spring and fall. If needing to plant during other times, plan on additional overseeding. For a thick, lush turf, the following seeding rates are recommended:
